Meet Our Team

Amy JL Cook, DDS.

A Renton native, Dr. Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Washington.  Areas of interest for her include oral pathology and geriatric dentistry.  Throughout the year she provides dental services for dementia/Alzheimer’s residents at the Weatherly Inn in Kent and offers house calls for patients with mobility issues.  She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Seattle-King County Dental Society, and the Washington State Dental Association and has served as a delegate to all three organizations.  Currently she serves as a Board member for the Washington State Dental Association.  Dr. Cook has lobbied in Olympia for dental patients and in 2015 drafted the origin of a piece of legislation (HB 1002) that passed unanimously through the Washington State House and Senate ensuring same-day emergency care coverage and insurance company spending reporting.

She has served on the Executive Council for the Seattle-King County Dental Society, the South King Multicare Foundation Board, and the Blue Ribbon Committee for a Healthy Auburn. Dr. Cook actively promotes access to care for our poor and vulnerable populations and personally treats patients for Donated Dental Services for the Disabled, Domestic Abuse Women’s Network, Medicaid patients, Alzheimer’s patients, and veterans. She is oncall 24-hours for her patients and for a local elementary school through the Adopt a School Program. She is a leader in the effort to reduce opioid addiction and death through her efforts with various entities including the Drug Enforcement Agency, NW High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, the Washington State Dental Association, and the Washington State Attorney General.

Outside the office, Dr. Cook enjoys time with her husband and their four sons. She attempts to play bluegrass fiddle and also enjoys reading, knitting, boating, and cooking. Meeting new people through dentistry adds so much to her life experience and she is always grateful to the wonderful people she is fortunate to encounter.

Zoe Fernyhough, DDS.

Dr. Fernyhough is a Seattle area native. She was born in Seattle and grew up in Redmond, Washington.  She attended the University of Washington for undergrad and received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology while actively volunteering at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission and Roots Young Adult Shelter.  For dental school, Dr. Fernyhough attended the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California.  During dental school, she volunteered through multiple organizations to provide care to veterans and families in need, as well as hosting multiple leadership conferences. 
 
Dr. Fernyhough has strong skills and experience in CEREC technology (same – day crowns), and Invisalign  She has a passion for providing patients with high quality traditional crowns, implant crowns, and minimally invasive onlays and inlays.
Outside the office she can be found hiking with her two dogs, baking, or fly fishing on the rivers around Washington State and Mexico.

Christie is a great office resource at our front desk in the areas of dental insurance processing, dental software systems and front desk management that comes from her experience in dental offices since 1997.
She excels at multi-tasking and unraveling the many challenges of processing dental insurance claims for our patients.

Ashley

Ashley always enjoyed going to the dentist, so it made sense to make it my career. She became a Registered Dental Assistance in 2014 and has worked as a dental front desk since then.
Ashley enjoys helping our patients by building relationships with them and helping them understand their benefits better. Her co-workers describe her as friendly and having a positive attitude.
Outside the office, She likes to camp with her husband and kids, read, and watch movies.

Shawna has worked in the dental industry since 1998 and enjoys learning along with innovation and new dental treatments for patients. After all these years, she still enjoys learning something new everyday.
Shawna’s co-workers describe her as having a fun personality that starts with a smile and that one of my strengths is helping people feel comfortable.  Helping clarify insurance benefits so patients can smile again is Shawna’s favorite aspect of her job.
Outside the office Shawna finds joy in her husband and Shihpoo pup Laylah.  They enjoy drag reading, riding in the sand dunes, and camping.

Darniece is always willing to help with all tasks at hand to help the office run smoothly and works hard at all she does. At home, she enjoys artistic activities like writing, drawing, coloring, movies, music, and singing. She loves spending time with her three dogs.

Stefanie attended Bryman College. She keeps our clinical team running smoothly and brings specialized training as a Certified Invisalign Assistant, WISHA compliance, and advanced life support CPR. One of her many strengths is her attention to detail and she enjoys the personalized care she gives our patients. Stefanie prides herself in developing long-lasting relationships.
Personally, she is a movie buff but also enjoys outside activities with her husband and children. They are always involved in a do-it-yourself project at home.

Kyrstin, RDH

Krystin’s favorite clinical procedures are helping restored broken, decayed teeth with crowns and implant crowns.

Her co-workers describe her as self-motivated, fleximble, trustworthy and a great problem-solver.
What Krystin loves about CFD is how efficient our office is. Everything is organized and clean. Our patients are very kind and love being here.  Krystin love the environment here, as it feels like home.
Her hobbies outside work are riding side-by-sides, hiking, camping, and spending time with her family.

Cassie completed her formal dental assisting training in 2020 and came to us as a Dental Laboratory Technician and Dental Assistant.  She enjoys all areas of lab work including CAD CAM design and 3D printing of prosthetics and oral appliances.
Cassie’s strengths include solving technical problems and working with her hands but she loves working with patients and serves as a dental assistant in all areas of clinical dentistry.
Outside the office, Cassie plays piano at the church she attends with her husband.
